Warping Wheels 1.0.1 also lets you define your own shape and color maps. The color and shape maps each contain a collection of color and shape patterns that are to be used as transformations. A color map can then be mapped, warped and stretched to produce a new version of the image. A shape map (for example, a warping map) can also be mapped and warped to produce a new image.
In addition, there are 4 types of wrap-around effects. On 1-way and 2-way wheels, you can remove part of the edges of the image. In 3-way wheels, the edges of the image are restored on circular slices of the color wheel.
A set of classic mapping, building, and warping functions are provided. The classic mapping method involves creating two calculations: A given wheel (e.g., horizontal warping) and a given distance calculation (e.g., Manhattan distance). The align algorithm uses the classic numeric, sequence based, recursive grid-based algorithm. As the classic alignment algorithms use the most powerful, flexible distance functions that can be defined in the Align.dist() function, they are very stable and very fast.
One of the many advantages of the exponential mode is that the timings are used to determine the usage rate of the specific warping functions as well. Thus, it is possible to use mostly the old warping functions but with an exponential rate (for more complex control) to use the generally more costly but adjustable mapping functions. 7211a4ac4a
